Unless you own your own printing press and can print counterfeit money that looks great and is undetectable, in the online world there is no such thing as get rich quick.

Indeed it is true that there are people making lots of money on the Internet, however the ones that have a legitimate business did not get there overnight. It takes years to develop a profitable internet business no matter what advertisement you read that tells you that you can download a certain software, click a couple of buttons and the money will start rolling in.

It just doesn't happen that way! However, each day someone somewhere is forking out money for some e-book or get rich quick manual and all you get in return is useless information or information you could have got for free just by doing a bit of research on the internet or your local library.

As your search for internet gold continues here are a few that you shouldn't get involved with no matter how good they make it sound.

1. Envelope Stuffing

There are a few varieties of this scam but the basics of this is you see an ad, a flyer or an email telling you that you can make xxx amount of dollars by stuffing envelopes. Either they will ask you to send them 2 to 5 bucks and a self address envelope and then they send you a flyer and a page of information telling you to send out the same ad or email to get other people to do the same thing that you just did. However it is worded it is a scam and you will not make any money.

2. Email Processing

Do you really think that in this day and age companies are going to pay you for processing their email? They have their own mailrooms and people to process the emails in house. This scams works by you receiving an email promising you that for a fee, (xxx amount of dollars) that they will set you up as an email processor. You send your money in and what you get is a small information package on how to run ads on forums and news groups and such, and get people to send you a small fee and you send them out the same information that you responded to. It is just a vicious cycle that the only ones that do make any money are the people who have figured out how to spam millions and millions of people on a daily basis and just on shear numbers get people to fall for it. Stay away from this. It never will make you any real money.

3. Chain Letters

Chain letters have been around since the early 1900's and the Internet has just made it a bit quicker and a faster way to make a buck - that is if you are the scammer. Chain letters are simply now an email with a list of 5 or 6 names, some legal jargon and sales talk to make you think this will work. You simply go to PayPal, Alert Pay or some other payment system and send them 5 or 10 bucks, replace the first name with yours, move the others on down the list and re send out the emails. I can't believe people still fall for this one. Emails or regular mail, this scam simply does not work and is illegal.

If you find yourself still falling for these types of "Get Rich scams", Do yourself a favor - get off the Internet and get a job!
