Before I really had any knowledge of how to make money on the Internet, I always thought that taking surveys online and getting paid for them was just a big hoax or scam.

After doing quite a bit of research, talking and interviewing people that have been and still are involved in taking surveys online as a way of generating extra income, the simple answer is yes you can. You can generate a certain amount of extra income by participating in taking surveys online and get paid for it.

You will also need to commit time. Consider it as a real part-time job and commit at least 2 to 3 hours each day if you really wish to create a steady income each month.

Use all the search engines to locate the firms that will pay you to take surveys. Don't just take the first ten or so listings that will give you the most popular ones but go beyond and look at search results past the 200 mark and you will find little known market firms that also pay pretty good for taking their surveys.

Sign up for at least 50 companies, anything less probably won't get you the results you are looking for or that I've talked about. Use free emails accounts because you will generate a lot of promotional emails and spam and such when registering for all these companies.

Each day, check your emails first and respond to the ones that are immediately offering you a survey. Some firms will send you email when surveys become available and others you will need to check the web site to see what is available.

When you first start, the pay for the surveys will vary from $1 -$5 bucks and they will take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes to complete. Completing 3 or 4 surveys an hour is a good average. Don't think of it as an hourly wage but as adding to your monthly goal of obtaining $200 - $400 extra bucks a month.

Every company has a minimum you need to earn before they will pay you (Usually $20 to $50 bucks) so just be consistent each and everyday. Do these simple steps each and every day, and after the first month or so you will have built up enough money in each of your accounts to begin to have them start paying you.

The key is to work at this everyday for 2 to 3 hours a day or even more if you have the time, and after a while your efforts will start to pay off.
